Former NFL RB Peyton Hillis Is In Critical Condition After Saving His Kids From Drowning In Ocean

Peyton Hillis needs our prayers.

The former NFL running back and Arkansas Razorback is in intensive care and fighting for his life after he saved his children from drowning in the ocean. His children are reportedly safe and healthy, but Peyton is in the hospital:

The rumor was confirmed by one of Hillis’ relatives, Greg Hillis, who posted this on Facebook:

“I just wanted to let everyone know on Razorback Nation that Peyton is doing better. He’s still in intensive care and having some problems with his kidneys and lungs but the doctors say he is improving. I just wanted to head off any rumors that may have started. I’m sure he would want everyone to know that he appreciates all of the prayers being thrown up on his behalf!!”

After having a standout career at Arkansas, Hillis was taken in the seventh round by the Denver Broncos in 2008. After two seasons in Denver, he was traded to the Browns. His signature year came in 2010 when he set career highs in rushing yards, receiving yards and rushing touchdowns. He graced the cover of Madden the following year.

Hillis played for the Denver Broncos, Cleveland Browns, Kansas City Chiefs, and New York Giants during his time in the league.
