Dallas Radio Host Caught Wishing Injury On Christian McCaffrey Ahead Of Cowboys-49ers Game

Stay classy, Dallas.

One thing you never do if you’re in the sports media business is wish injury on a player.

Unfortunately, that’s exactly what the hosts of 105.3 The Fan’s Dallas radio show “GBag Nation” did this week when discussion the upcoming NFC Divisional Round Playoff Game between the Dallas Cowboys and the San Francisco 49ers.

The host was caught wishing an injury on 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey:

The host was later identified as Bryan Broaddus, who works as a radio host/analyst for the Dallas Cowboys and was a former scout for the organization as well.

Broaddus responded to a critic on Twitter, saying the “player has a history of not being healthy or available for his team. He’s done a great job taking care of that while in SF. Would never wish that on any player. I worked in this league way too long for that.”

He later followed it up with an apology:

McCaffrey struggled with injuries in 2020 and 2021, playing only 10 games those two seasons with various ankle, shoulder and hamstring injuries. He has yet to miss a game so far as a member of the 49ers.
