Emotions were running high at Dallas Cowboys practice on Tuesday afternoon.
It all started when Dak Prescott attempted to escape the runs and run for a touchdown. He was touched down by a defender, but kept going and eventually got into the end-zone.
The defense didn’t take kindly to that as some defenders came to confront Prescott. That list of players included Trevon Diggs, who had a few words for him.
“Shut yo b**** a** up,” Diggs said to his starting quarterback following the play.
That seemed a bit excessive, but the practice can become a head exchange in the lead-up to the start of the season.
Dallas enters the 2023 campaign with plenty to play for. Another missed opportunity at the playoffs or early exit could spell the end of the Mike McCarthy era.
If Prescott struggles in 2023 like he did last season, he too could be looking for a new job when the 2024 season kicks off.
