NC State’s New $15 Million Scoreboard Was Struck By Lightning During Game vs Notre Dame

Hopefully NC State got the warranty on their brand new $15 million scoreboard.

As NC State and Notre Dame entered a weather delay on Saturday, the fancy new scoreboard at Carter-Finely Stadium went out due to lighting. Storms were in the Raleigh-area all morning Saturday, an they finally interrupted the game between the Fighting Irish and Wolfpack early in the second quarter:

Daktronics built the new scoreboard for Carter-Finley Stadium. It measures 7,121 square feet and has 75 audio speakers, the school revealed in a recent release.

At the time of the delay, Notre Dame held a 3-0 lead over NC State.
