Chargers Filled SoFi Stadium With A.I. Fans Instead Of Real People During Home Opener vs Dolphins

If you watched Sunday’s Los Angeles Chargers-Miami Dolphins game, you probably noticed some weird robotic looking-fans in the stands.

Well, that’s because there were actual “AI Robots” cheering on the Los Angeles Chargers at SoFi Stadium.

The purpose for this strange marketing stunt was to help promote the upcoming sci-fi action film The Creator, which is starring John David Washington. The film pits Earth’s citizens against a rampant AI force that threatens to destroy humanity.

The film is set to hit theaters on Sept. 29th.

While that may be the reason, it could also because the Chargers have largely struggled filling in seats at SoFi during home games when they aren’t bought up by the opposing fans.

As for the game, it was an absolute thriller as the Dolphins and Chargers exchanged leads but ultimately it was the Miami Dolphins pulling out a 36-34 victory.
