Johnathan Taylor will finally be on the field for the Colts in Week 5.
The star running back has been sitting out the first four weeks of the 2023 season due to a contract dispute along with an ankle injury, sought a trade from Indianapolis, but after failing to land a long term deal elsewhere, he will stay a Colt.
Instead of now playing out the fourth year of his contract with Indy making a mere $4.3M and becoming a free agent in 2024, Taylor will now be making $42M ($26.5M guaranteed) via a three year extension.
The news comes for Colts fans at an optimistic time with the quick emergence of rookie QB Anthony Richardson under center.
