Deebo Samuel Threatens Violence On C.J. Gardner-Johnson In Twitter Spat Over 49ers-Browns Brawl

Deebo Samuel woke up and chose violence.

Prior to the start of the 49ers-Browns game, Samuel and Brandon Aiyuk were at the center of a wild pregame fight with the Cleveland Browns. Aiyuk was jumping in front of Browns players, got shoved and then Samuel stepped in.

Trent Williams came in and knocked the helmet off of Browns receiver Elijah Moore to end the scuffle.

Deebo’s afternoon was cut short after he suffered a shoulder injury. He played just nine snaps and was replaced by Ray-Ray McCloud. The 49ers struggled offensively and ended up losing the game 19-17.

To add insult to injury, Lions safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson took to Twitter to to poke fun at Samuel. Gardner-Johnson insinuated that Samuel ran away from the scuffle and essentially used Williams as a shield:

Deebo got wind of Gardner-Johnson’s tweet and responded by threatening him with the clip of the fight C.J. had with former Bears wide receiver Javon Wims.

Gardner-Johnson responded by calling Deebo’s bluff:

C.J. Gardner-Johnson is currently nursing a torn pectoral muscle and there’s an outside chance he can return later in the season. Lets hope the 49ers and Lions meet in the playoffs because we deserve to see these two go at it on the field instead of Twitter/X.
