REPORT: Rams CB Derion Kendrick Arrested On Felony Charges After Game vs Cardinals, Remains In Jail

Los Angeles Rams cornerback Deion Kendrick was arrested early Monday morning on conceleaedu weapon charge, according to TMZ Sports.

The arrest took place a few hours after the Rams’ victory over the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday at SoFi Stadium. According to TMZ, law enforcement said that Kendrick was pulled over for a traffic violation and police found a gun in the vehicle.

Kendrick remains in police custody as of Monday afternoon.

Kendrick, 23, is in his second-year with the Rams. He has started all six games this season an started six of his 15 appearances as a rookie after the Rams selected him in the sixth round out of the 2022 Draft.

Prior to joining Georgia, Kendrick played three seasons at Clemson. He was reportedly arrested in Rock Hill, South Carolina in 2021 on a misdemeanor charge of unlawful carrying of a handgun.

In 21 NFL games, Kendrick’s recorded 68 tackles and seven passes defended. He’s yet to record his first career interception. His playing status moving forward is unclear. The 3-3 Rams host the Pittsburgh Steelers next Sunday.
