Could this be the beginning of the end for Bill Belichick in New England?

Patriots owner Robert Kraft reportedly had conversations about moving on from Bill Belichick as the franchise is in the midst of the worst season since Kraft became the owner of the team in 1994.

NFL insider Albert Breer on Wednesday reported Kraft has had discussions about moving on from Belichick after the 2023 season.

“These discussions have taken place,” Breer told Colin Cowherd on “The Herd.”

“I can tell you for sure, Robert hears the criticism, he hears the anger locally and people in the building know for a fact that he’s hearing the anger from the fanbase.”

Breer didn’t stop there. He also told Cowherd, “I think now we’re at the point where this is just going to be a flat out firing.”

Belichick is unquestionably the greatest coach in NFL history, winning six Super Bowls and 263 regular-season games. But the Patriots haven’t looked competitive this season and Mac Jones continues to regress while the skill position players are lacking some serious skill.

Belichick has made highly questionable roster decision and if the seasons continues on the path that it’s on, Kraft might have no choice but to fire Bill Belichick.
