The NFL has fined Seattle Seahawks Jamal Adams $50,000 after he got into another altercation with an independent neurologist on the sidelines.
According to Jonathan Jones of CBS Sports, Adams reportedly “directed verbal remarks and made inappropriate physical contact” with an independent concussion doctor while teammate Jake Bobo was being examined during last Sunday’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
This latest altercation is the second Adams has had with an independent neurologist this week. A few weeks ago, during his season debut, Adams argued with an independent doctor at MetLife Stadium and issued an apology for it on social media.
“First and foremost, I want to apologize to the OG,” Adams said. “You did everything right when you realized I was concussed, I apologize for any negative energy I brought your way. Watching the replay, I am thankful for your patience knowing I wasn’t myself in that moment. You’re a real one and you serve a great purpose that benefits the NFL and so many players. Prioritizing player’s health is essential. Much respect to you!”
Adams has not yet commented on the situation that took place in Cincinnati.
The Seattle Seahawks will host the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday at 4:25 p.m. eastern time.
