Saquon Barkley’s Dad Left MetLife Stadium With ‘Full On Jets Gear’ After Giants Loss

One of the worst games of the NFL season took place in MetLife Stadium on Sunday between the Giants and Jets. Both teams combined for 24 punts on the day and the Giants finished with -9 passing yards.

But despite the offensive struggles, Giants running back Saquon Barkley racked up 128 yards on 36 carries in the contest. Unfortunately for Saquon, not everyone in his family was rooting for him.

According to Zack Rosenblatt of The Athletic, Barkley’s dad was spotted leaving MetLife Stadium completely decked out in Jets gear:

Barkley’s father decision comes days after Saquon admitted that he thought he turned his Jets-loving father to Big Blue’s side.

“Finally got him to − he’s still rooting for the Jets this game, but he hopes we win this time,” Saquon said Thursday. “So, I got him to say that out of his own mouth two or three days ago. I finally got my father on my side.”

In the end, the Jets managed to escape with a 13-10 win in overtime.
