The Mac Jones era in New England is not going well.. to say the least and it might’ve reached it breaking point on Sunday.
Mac Jones had one of the worst performances of his career that ended with the New England Patriots quarterback being benched for Bailey Zappe, again.
But before the benching, camera crews caught Patriots offensive coordinator Bill O’Brien giving Jones an earful on the sidelines. It’s no surprise considering the horrific performance put on display by the former first-round draft pick.
Things weren’t any better with Zappe on the field. The backup quarterback stepped in on the final drive and threw an interception to seal the Patriots’ fate on an ill-advised pass in traffic with a bunch of Colts defenders.
The Patriots fell to 2-8 on Sunday vs the Indianapolis Colts in what is shaping to be the worst season of the Bill Belichick-era.
