BREAKING: Steelers Have Fired OC Matt Canada

The Pittsburgh Steelers did it.

On Tuesday, the Steelers announced that they have relived offensive coordinator Matt Canada of his duties in a move that will surely make Steelers fans happy.

The move was an obvious one for coach Mike Tomlin. The Steelers offense ranks 28th in points per game (16.6), 28th in yards per game (280.1) and 31st in passing yards per game (170) this season. They have been out-gained in every game this season.

It’s yet to be determined who will call plays but many believe the Steelers will turn to quarterbacks coach Mike Sullivan as the play-caller for the remainder of the season. Sullivan was the offensive coordinator for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers from 2012-2013 and the New York Giants from 2016-2017.
