Shaq Leonard Was Handing Out Turkey’s In Indianapolis To Families In Need After Being Cut By Colts

The Indianapolis Colts made a shocking roster move on Tuesday when they released former All-Pro linebacker Shaquille Leonard.

Leonard was one of the best linebackers in the NFL, making multiple All-Pro and Pro Bowl teams for the Colts. He was also the 2018 Defensive Rookie of the Year, coming out of South Carolina State.

Within a few hours of his release by the Colts, Leonard showed his amazing class by sticking to his commitment to the Indianapolis community. Leonard was spotted handing out turkeys to families in need on Tuesday afternoon.

The last two seasons of Leonard’s career were throttled by injuries, which slowed his productivity. He only appeared in three games in 2022, making just one start. In 2023, the Colts reduced Leonard’s playing time, cutting into the amount of snaps he played this season.

Leonard, 28, is free to sign with any team if he clears waivers.
