The changes in Washington have begun.
After a blowout 45-10 loss to the Dallas Cowboys on Thanksgiving, the Commanders have fired defensive coordinator Jack Del Rio, according to NFL Network Ian Rapoport.
The team also confirmed the announcement:
Del Rio was hired in 2020 and lasted four seasons as the DC in Washington. The Commanders are also parting ways with defensive backs coach Brent Vieselmeyer, NFL Network Insider Tom Pelissero reported.
Del Rio, 60, previously spent three seasons as head coach of the Raiders and nine seasons as head coach of the Jaguars. He has also been a defensive coordinator in Carolina and in Denver.
