Jets Make WR Allen Lazard A Healthy Inactive After Giving Him $44 Million Contract Last Offseason

A lot of things have not gone right for the New York Jets this offseason.

They lost Aaron Rodgers for the season and one of the high-priced free agents hasn’t worked out at all. Ahead of Friday’s Dolphins-Jets game at MetLife Stadium, the Jets made WR Allen Lazard inactive for the game. A healthy scratch.

This past offseason, Lazard signed a four-year, $44 million contract with the Jets that included $22 million guaranteed with the expectation that he’d continue to find success while catching passes from Aaron Rodgers.

None of that happened.
