NFL Network’s David Carr just had the worst take of the year.
After the Eagles 42-19 loss to the San Francisco 49ers last Sunday, Carr went on live television with thousands of people watching and suggested that the Philadelphia Eagles bench their MVP-candidate quarterback Jalen Hurts for their backup, Marcus Mariota.
I’m serious. He actually said it, here’s the clip:
David Carr played ten seasons in the NFL for four teams including the Houston Texans, Carolina Panthers, New York Giants and San Francisco 49ers. He was sacked 267 times in his career, which could explain why he would have such a senseless take like this.
