If you thought the Chicago Bears head coaching job is going to open up in two weeks, think again.
According to NFL insider Ian Rapoport, Eberflus is expected to return to the team in 2024.
Eberflus is 6-9 this year and 9-23 overall since becoming the Bears head coach. But after four of their last six games, there’s some belief that the team might not be as bad as they looked through the first half of the season.
In 2024, the Bears will have two first-round picks, including one in the top five, and over $60 million in cap space to work with.

The big decision will now be whether if the Bears will stick with Justin Fields or trade Fields and draft Caleb Williams with the No. 1 overall pick – which is what they are expected to have.
