There are plenty of people who are skeptical and critical of Brock Purdy but Colorado coach Deion Sanders isn’t part of that group.
Appearing on ESPN’s First Take on Thursday, Coach Prime said Purdy’s story is the “best story in football over the last two decades.”
“Everybody in America has a title, whether you agree with it or not. They give us a title. This kid is the best story that has been over two decades,” Sanders said. “Coming from the last player taken to [being] in the Super Bowl and leading his team to the Super Bowl because of his play. I love this kid. Shoot, I’m looking for a Brock Purdy. I’m sorry, I can’t recruit.”
If Purdy leads the 49ers to a Super Bowl victory over Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs, he will unquestionably be one of the all-time great stories in American sports history.
