New Videos Show Start Of Chiefs Parade Shooting, Some Fans Thought It Was Fireworks

Mass shooting in large crowd situations are always confusion with all the moving parts, but in the age of social media, it doesn’t take long for videos from bystanders to hit the internet and help give insight into the situation.

That’s exactly what’s happening out of the tragedy in Kansas City Wednesday, where a reportedly trio of gunmen shot 22 people, including numerous children. There was one fatality.

New videos show the inception of the shooting, with those close-by quickly dispersing in terror, and those slightly further away questioning if they heard gunshots, with some audibly saying it was fireworks.

Decided to take the kids to the KC Chiefs Parade because last year went fine..not so sure how I feel now. According to someone who was close, there was fireworks at first to cover the gun shots. He said he thought a couple people were shot. Will see what the reports say but hopefully, everyone (other than the dumba** who did it) is okay. #kcparade #kcmo #kcchiefs
