BREAKING: Dolphins Are Releasing CB Xavien Howard

Xavien Howard’s time in Miami is coming to an end.

According to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo, after eight seasons, the Dolphins will be releasing cornerback Xavien Howard “at the start of the league year.”

Garafolo adds that Howard as expected to garner “significant interest” in the free agent market.

Howard has three years remaining on his five-year deal.


The former All-Pro cornerback recorded 45 tackles, one interception and 12 pass deflections in 13 games last season before he was sidelined by a left foot injury.
