BREAKING: Patriots Trade QB Mac Jones To Jacksonville Jaguars

The Mac Jones era in New England is over.

According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero, the Patriots are trading Jones to the Jacksonville Jaguars in exchange fora. 2024 sixth-round pick (No. 192).

The trade will be official on March 13th when the new league year starts.

New England owns the No. 3 pick in the 2024 NFL Draft and many around the league believe they will select either LSU’s Jayden Daniels or North Carolina’s Drake Maye.

Meanwhile for Jones, he gets a career reset in his hometown, Jacksonville, where he will backup Trevor Lawrence. Both Lawrence and Jones were first round picks in the 2021 Draft, with Lawrence going No. 1 overall and Jones going 15th overall.
