BREAKING: Jameis Winston Is Signing A 1-Year Deal With The Cleveland Browns

Jameis Winston is leaving New Orleans and is “close” to signing a one-year deal worth up to $8.7 million with the Cleveland Browns, according to Bleacher Report’s NFL Insider Jordan Schultz.

The former No. 1 overall pick spent the last four seasons with the New Orelans Saints after joining them in 2020 to backup the now retired Drew Brees.

Prior to joining the Saints, Winston spent the first five seasons of his career with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, which selected him with the first overall pick in the 2015 draft.

Winston will enter Cleveland as the backup to Deshaun Watson.
