After being released by the San Francisco 49ers earlier this week, Arik Armstead has found a new home.
According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Armstead, a former first-round pick of the 49ers, is signing with the Jacksonville Jaguars:
Armstead was a vocal point of the 49ers defensive line but after the team was forced to release him after failing to come to an agreement on a restructured contract. Injuries limited him to just 12 games in 2023, but he still was able to tally five sacks, 27 tackles, four tackles for a loss and 13 quarterback hits.
Armstead, now joins a defensive line in Jacksonville that includes Josh Allen and former No. 1 overall pick Travon Walker.
