Penn State coach James Franklin might have gotten Howie Roseman and the Philadelphia Eagles in trouble.
According to multiple media reports, the NFL is investigating the Eagles for tampering with Saquon Barkley after Penn State head coach James Franklin inadvertently reveled that Howie Roseman had been in contact with Barkley prior to the start of the new league year.
Per NFL rules, no team officials are allowed to be in direct contact with a free agent until the new league year starts. The Eagles have denied “impermissible contact” between the Eagles GM and Barkley.
In addition, the NFL is also looking into potential tampering by the Falcons in-relation to Kirk Cousins.
Barkley, 27, has starred for the Giants over the past six seasons since being selected with the second overall pick in 2018, racking up over 7,300 all-purpose yards and 47 touchdowns. A two-time Pro Bowler, Barkley rushed for 962 yards in 14 games last season.
We’ll see what happens..
