The Kenny Pickett era in Pittsburgh is over.

The Steelers are trading quarterback Kenny Pickett and the 120th pick in the 2024 NFL Draft to the Philadelphia Eagles in exchange for the 98th pick in the 2024 Draft and two 7th round picks in the 2025 Draft.

The No. 20 pick in the first round of the 2022 NFL draft, Pickett has struggled with injuries and inconsistency over his first two seasons in the league, and with the signing of Russell Wilson, it’s clear he’ll be the starter as Pickett is shipped to Philly.

For the Eagles, this is a low-cost move to add a backup for Jalen Hurts who still has plenty of upside as a recent first-round pick. He could end up providing solid depth behind Hurts moving forward.
