Patrick Mahomes Breaks Silence On Harrison Butker’s Speech: “He’s A Good Person But We’re Not Always Going To Agree”

Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker created some controversy last week with comments he made during a commencement speech at Benedictine College and on Wednesday, the face of the franchise, Patrick Mahomes, was asked about the comments.

When speaking with reporters on Wednesday, Mahomes said: “I’ve known him for seven years. I judge him by the character he shows every day and that’s a good person. … We’re not always going to agree. He said certain things I don’t agree with.”

Mahomes wasn’t the only person to be asked about Butker’s comments.

Chiefs head coach Andy Reid was also asked to give his thoughts on the matter and he told reporters, “I didn’t think I need to. We’re a microcosm of life. … We all respect each other’s opinions. We all have a voice.”
