Raiders Star Maxx Crosby Got A College Football Field Named After Him

Maxx Crosby is still in the prime of his NFL career and yet, he already got a football field named after him.

Crosby’s alma mater, Eastern Michigan, has named its new playing surface at Rynearson Stadium after the Raiders star.

The decision from the University came after Crosby and his wife, Rachel, donated $ 1 million to their alma mater in 2023. Rachel was a soccer player during her college days.

“I am a firm believer of the power of education and sports, and personally serve as an example of how they can positively impact both individuals and communities,” Crosby said. “By investing in EMU Athletics, I hope to contribute to the growth and development of student-athletes, providing them with the resources and opportunities they need to realize their dreams on and off-the-field. This gift is not just about the present, but also the future of generations of student-athletes who will benefit from enhanced facilities, scholarships, and support systems that will advance the rich history of the Eastern Michigan University athletic program.”

Eastern Michigan shared a look at “Crosby Field” this Friday. It’s a beauty.

Crosby has been arguably the best defensive player in the NFL after the Raiders selected him in the fourth round of the 2019 Draft. He’s racked up 321 tackles and 52 sacks.

The Raiders rewarded his stellar play with a four-year, $98 million contract extension in 2022.
