Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Justin Watson left practice Wednesday after suffering a foot injury.
Fox4 Kansas City’s PJ Green posted a clip of the play where Watson got hurt. After bending down to catch a pass from Patrick Mahomes, his left foot appeared to twist awkwardly.
Watson was carted off the field after team doctors checked on him. Green confirmed that he’s dealing with a foot injury, but there’s no further information about the severity as of Wednesday afternoon.
While the Chiefs did upgrade their receiver room this past offseason with the additions of Hollywood Brown and Xavier Worthy, Watson played an intricate role on the Chiefs last season as only Rashee Rice and Travis Kelce registered more receiving yards than Watson.
