Ja’Marr Chase Throws Shade At Patrick Mahomes During NFL Top 100: “Not Saying His Name”

Ja’Marr Chase might have respect for Patrick Mahomes, but he’s not putting it on his name.

The rivalry between the Bengals and Chiefs runs so deep that Chase refused to say Patrick Mahomes name during the NFL Top 100 players of the 2024 season.

“He’s good,” the Bengals wide receiver said. “He’s amazing. He’s good. Not gonna lie. I’m salty, though. I’m a little salty. Two years in a row. I’m putting [Joe] Burrow first.”

The rivalry between the Chiefs and Bengals picked up a lot of steam during the 2021 season when the Bengals shocked Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs during a three-point win in Week 17 before eliminating them in overtime in the AFC Championship Game at Arrowhead.

The following season the two met again in the AFC Championship Game in a game that featured plenty of trash talk including Travis Kelce calling out the Cincinnati mayor and Chase for previously saying, “Pat who?” in reference to Mahomes.

If Joe Burrow can remain healthy, all signs point to the two meeting at some point during the season.
