The Pittsburgh Steelers opened training camp on Thursday and it didn’t go without drama.
According to Ray Fittipaldo of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, George Pickens got into a “heated exchange” with wide receiver Zach Azzanni after the coach didn’t like the way Pickens “executed his assignment.”
Fittipaldo added that some of the other receivers approached Pickens after the exchange but Pickens didn’t want to talk to them since he was still upset.Ā
Pickens finished the 2023 season with 63 receptions for 1,140 yards and five touchdowns. He’s entering his third NFL season after being drafted out of Georgia in 2022.Ā
