BREAKING: Buccaneers Sign OT Tristan Wirfs To A Five-Year Contract Extension

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have locked out one of their cornerstone pieces along the offensive line.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, offensive tackle Tristan Wirfs have agreed to a five-year, $140 million contract extension that makes him the highest paid offensive lineman in NFL history.

Wires was entering the final year of his rookie contract that was going to pay him $18.24 million.

Wirfs was the Buccaneers first round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft and played an intricate part on the Super Bowl team as a rookie. In his second year, Wirfs was a second-team All-Pro in 2022 and has been a Pro Bowler the last three years despite switching from right to left tackle.
