Deion Sanders Refuses To Take Question From Reporter While Confronting Another During Colorado Media Day

Things got pretty heated during Colorado’s Media Day today.

It all started with Deion Sanders refusing to take a question from a CBS reporter, who was trying to ask him a question.

After the reporter stated his name and affiliation from CBS in Denver, Prime chimed back, “CBS? I’m not doing nothing to do with CBS. Next question.”

Coach Prime then looked at the reporter with his shades on and added, “It’s got nothing to do with you. It’s above that. It’s got nothing to do with you. I’ve got love for you, and appreciate and respect you, but they know what they did.”

While it remains unknown what beef Sanders has with CBS, many are speculating that it could stem from the outlet ranking him one of the worst Power conference coaches in the country.

A few moments later, Sean Keeler of the Denver Post, who’s been critical of Coach Prime and his coaching style, was confronted by the Buffaloes head coach. Sanders refused to answer his question until he discussed what Prime wanted to discuss with him.

Instead of taking the question, Coach Prime cut the reporter off and asked one of his own: Why do you not like us?

Sanders: You don’t like us, man. Why do you do this to yourself?… No, I’m serious. Why do you do this? It would be hard for me to really engage in someone I don’t like or something I don’t like. I’m just asking why? What did I do?

Reporter: You didn’t do anything. It’s not about that. This is a football question.

Sanders: You, you’re always on attack. What did we do to you?

Reporter: Where am I on attack today?

Sanders: I’m not gonna give you opportunities to be on attack… What happened to get you like this?

Reporter: That’s a good question.

Sanders: No, I’m serious because I want to help. Because it’s not normal.

Reporter: We can talk about that. We can talk about that.

Sanders: Okay.

Reporter: Can I ask you a football question, seriously?

Sanders: No…

Colorado will open its first season in the Big 12 at home versus North Dakota State on Aug. 29. Kickoff is set for 8 p.m. ET.
