This probably won’t sit well with some Kansas City Chiefs fans..
The Kansas City Chiefs will close out the preseason on Thursday night against the Chicago Bears in a game that will be on KMCI (Ch. 38) in Kansas City instead of KSHB (Ch. 41). This is because the Democratic National Convention will be on KSHB instead of the football game.
While the game will be aired on NFL Network, it will be blacked out in Kansas City due to blackout restrictions.
What makes matters worse for Chiefs fans is that YouTube TV also doesn’t carry KMCI and the only way fans in Kansas City can watch the game is to rely on metal antennas to pull the signal out of the sky. The old fashioned way.
This wasn’t the first time something like this occurred.
Chiefs fans faced similar issues for their first preseason game against the Jaguars. KSHB was carrying the Summer Olympics in Paris, moving the broadcast to KMCI. That NFL Network feed also was blacked out in Kansas City.
