After naming Russell Wilson the starting quarterback prior to the start of the season, the Steelers are forced to change ship and are expected to start Justin Fields in their season-opener on Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons.
According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the Steelers are expecting Fields to start because Russell Wilson is dealing with a calf injury he sustained during practice this week.
The Steelers acquired Fields from the Chicago Bears this past offseason.
Russell Wilson is listed as questionable for the game but all indications are that Fields may be in line to start.
