The San Francisco 49ers were ready to trade Brandon Aiyuk to the Pittsburgh Steelers moments before they finalized a contract extension.
According to FOX Sports’ Jay Glazer, while the 49ers were getting ready to get the deal done with Pittsburgh for Aiyuk, he showed up to the team’s facility and the team decided to end trade talks.
The front office gave Aiyuk an ‘ultimatum’ to accept the offer or be traded and Aiyuk accepted the deal.
