Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase is making his feelings on the Kansas City Chiefs clear ahead of their AFC showdown on Sunday.
Speaking with reporters on Thursday, Chase made it clear that the Bengals don’t like the Chiefs and the Chiefs don’t like them.
Here are Chase’s full comments on the rivalry:
Chase added that the Bengals, not the reigning Super Bowl champion Chiefs are the “team to beat in the AFC. We need to act like it, and we need to play like it.”
When the Bengals went to the Super Bowl in 2021, they defeated the Chiefs in Kansas City in the AFC Championship Game.
Cincinnati is also coming off a disappointing Week 1 defeat at the hands of the New England Patriots, scoring just one touchdown in a 16-10 loss. Chase caught all six of his targets for 62 yards in the game.
