The Giants were able to move the ball up and down the field on the Cowboys defense but were unable to score a touchdown, settling for five field goals on their five scoring drives.
Some will blame head coach Brian Daboll’s play-calling but after looking at the All-22 from the game, it seems like the Giants are hamstrung by their quarterback’s inability to complete a deep pass.

It’s hard to win in this league when your quarterback is missing easy throws like this. The stats back the claim on Jones’ inefficient ability to throw the deep ball.
Jones is now 2-for-14 on throws that travel over 20 yards this season.
After the game, Brian Daboll credited Jones for his play, who didn’t necessarily have a bad game but when your team is struggling to score touchdowns, you can’t miss these easy throws.
The 1-3 Giants will have 10 days off before they travel to Seattle to take on the Seahawks.
