Justin Herbert is a tough son-of-a-gun.
Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports that Herbert is “expected to start” in the Los Angeles Chargers matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs “barring a pregame setback” despite dealing with a high ankle sprain.
Herbert left the Chagers’ Week 3 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers after reaggravating the injury. He initially injured the ankle during the Chargers’ Week 2 victory over the Carolina Panthers.
He was listed as “questionable” but had reportedly shown enough progress to start in the pivotal Week 4 matchup.
