Spencer Rattler is getting his opportunity.
New Orleans Saints head coach Dennis Allen announced Wednesday that Rattler will be starting at quarterback on Sunday vs Tampa Bay in place of the injured Derek Carr.
NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo and Ian Rapoport reported Carr could be sidelined for multiple games. Meanwhile, Rattler has not yet appeared in a regular season but preformed well enough in the preseason (20 of 38, 202 yards and one touchdown) to get Saints fans talking about his potential.
