It took a while but Alvin Kamara’s wish of a contract extension was granted.
On Tuesday, Kamara the New Orleans Saints agreed to a two-year, $24.5 million contract extension that will put him under contract with the Saints through the 2026 season.
NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo reports the deal includes over $22 million guaranteed and $1.5 million in incentives that makes the contract worth up to $26 million.
The Saints season got off to an awesome start with the team going 2-0 and looking like a complete juggernaut on offense. But since then, losing the past five games while quarterback Derek Carr is sidelined with an oblique injury. Kamara has totaled 690 scrimmage yards and seven TDs through Week 7.
