Sean McVay Doesn’t Anticipate Cooper Kupp Being Traded Following Win vs Vikings

Rams head coach Sean McVay addressed some of the trade rumors surrounding Cooper Kupp, and it sounds like he expects the star wide receiver to remain in Los Angeles past the trade deadline.

“Teams reached out,” McVay said after the Rams’ 30-20 win over the Minnesota Vikings on Thursday. “Some of the things that are out there, they’re just not true.”

Here’s McVay’s full response:

In his first game since Week 2, Kupp caught five passes for 51 yards and a touchdown, none bigger than a 27-yarder on the Rams’ final offensive possession to keep the drive alive and move the chains on third down. He didn’t play his usual number of snaps, but Kupp being on the field in any capacity was beneficial for the entire offense.

The Rams (3-4) put themselves back in the mix for the NFC West as they are now in a 3-way tie for second place behind the Seattle Seahawks.
