Things got chippy during the first half of the Saints-Chargers game on Sunday.
Saints defensive lineman Nathan Shepherd deliberate twisted Justin Herbert’s leg as he was standing, refusing to let go. Chargers’ offensive lineman saw the entire dirty act and proceed to act accordingly, absolutely leveling the Saints defensive lineman.
Shepherd was flagged for unnecessary roughness but so was Bozeman, so they wound up being offsetting penalties.
That was long after the ball was gone and it wouldn’t be shocking if Shepherd was fined this week.
