The Cincinnati Bengals don’t have any more answers.
After dropping their seventh game of the season in a 34-27 heart-breaking loss to the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday Night Football, the Bengals season seems to be all but over.
The 4-7 record hurts even more because the Bengals are getting great production from their quarterback Joe Burrow and star wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase, both of which lead the NFL in the majority of their positional statistics.
After the loss, Chase was asked about what has gone wrong with the team and he answered by telling the reporters to go ask those questions to head coach Zac Taylor.
“I don’t know. Ask Zac, ask the coaches. Don’t ask me,” Chase told reporters. “That’s not my job. I play football on the field. I don’t call plays for us, you know? So I can’t really do nothing.”
Chase also didn’t seem too happy with kicker Evan McPherson, saying that he gets “paid the big bucks” to make those kicks. McPherson missed two field goals late in the fourth quarter that would’ve given the Bengals the lead.
The Bengals (4-7) will go into the Bye Week searching for answers.
