Colorado star quarterback Shedeur Sanders is expected to be one of the top picks in the 2025 NFL Draft.
The Buffaloes quarterback is putting together a strong 2024 campaign, completing around 70% of his passes for 3,222 yards with 27 touchdowns and 7 interceptions. He’s led Colorado to an 8-2 record and in contention for a Big 12 title.
A number of NFL teams will need a quarterback like Shedeur when the 2025 Draft rolls around and one of those teams just benched their starting quarterback for the rest for ht season.
That team? The New York Giants.
During a recent 2Legendary with Shedeur Sanders podcast show, Co-host Drelon Miller hit Shedeur with the idea of playing for the Giants after discussing the benching of Daniel Jones.
Sanders couldn’t help himself but smile at the idea of him throwing to Malik Nabers in the Big Apple.
NFL teams hoping to land Shedeur with a top pick in the 2025 draft will have to contend with his father, who said he’ll intervene to make sure his son is drafted to the correct team.
“Yeah, but I’m not gonna do it publicly. I’d do it privately,” Deion Sanders said. “And with Travis as well.”
The Colorado coach and former NFL star knows what he’s looking for from a professional team in terms of his son.
“Somebody that can handle the quarterback that he is. Somebody that can handle understanding what he’s capable of,” Sanders said. “Someone that has had success in the past handling quarterbacks or someone in an organization who understands what they’re doing, not just throwing you out there amongst the wolves if you don’t have the support and the infrastructure of the team.”
Will New York be that team? We’ll see.
