There’s an increasing chance that Aaron Rodgers could be done for the season soon, according to The Athletic’s Dianna Russini.
“It appears ‘increasingly likely’ that the Jets will place Aaron Rodgers on IR or bench him over the next few weeks, per Russini,” the tweet read. “It’s also a possibility the Jets simply cut Rodgers midseason. Rodgers reportedly still wants to play in 2025, just not for the Jets.”
Rodgers, who chose to play for the Jets last offseason following a Hall of Fame run with the Packers, has seen his relationship with the Jets deteriorate in the last few months. The general belief is that Rodgers does want to continue to play in 2025, but it will not be for the Jets, who sit at 3-8 on the season.
