U.S. Olympic Star Noah Lyles And Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill Agree To Race Some Time In 2025

Olympic gold-medal sprinter Noah Lyles and Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill will race each other either this spring or summer before Lyles competes at the U.S. Championships, according to Natasha Dye of People.

The race will likely be somewhere between 40 meters and 100 meters.

“This has been an ongoing thing for quite some time now, and I mean, everybody’s seen the back and forth on social media,” Hill said. “I’ve been very adamant to show people what real, true speed looks like.”

While a race between the two men has been rumored for some time, Lyles flashing a “Tyreek could never” sign after winning the 60m final at last week’s New Balance Indoor Grand Prix foreshadowed the looming matchup.

“I think it speaks for itself,” Lyles told Dye regarding that sign. “Everybody says that they’re gonna be the world’s fastest, but when it comes down to it, you gotta be the winner every time, each and every time, and every time I show up to the biggest moments, I win.”

“That’s why I’m the world’s fastest,” he added. “I did at the Olympics. I do it at world championships. I do it wherever it’s needed to be done. And if I gotta go down and, you know, beat up on Tyreek to prove that I’m the world’s fastest, then it’s gonna be done.”

The location of the race is to be determined.
