Najee Harris Rips Steelers After Joining Chargers: “We Didn’t Know Anything Offensively, Didn’t Have An Identity”

Najee Harris departed the Steelers for the Los Angeles Chargers this offseason and is speaking his mind about the issues in Pittsburgh.

Harris told KCAL news the offense didn’t have an identity during his him in Pittsburgh.

“It was a just a team where, we lost Ben (Roethlisberger) we lost a lot of O-line, we just didn’t know anything on offense really, we didn’t have an identity,” said Harris.

He added that the most tenured player was only two or three years in the league and he didn’t have anyone to learn from.

“It was just defensive guys,” said Harris. “I’d go to the defensive guys talk to them, but it wouldn’t be too much they could tell me about the offensive thing.”

“It was interesting years there, I’ll just say that,” added Harris. Here’s the full clip:

Over four seasons, he carried the ball 1,097 times — a massive workload for any back. He totaled 4,312 rushing yards and 28 rushing touchdowns, becoming a key part of the Steelers’ offense even when things weren’t clicking. His 3.9 yards per carry average became a point of criticism, but some argue the offensive line struggles played a major factor.
