While a sports reporter becoming presidents sounds like absolute insanity, considering the current United States President, mind you in his second term, is a former reality show star, all bets are off for who can and cannot be sitting behind that desk in the oval office.
Despite inking an absurd 5-year, $100M deal with ESPN that tops many of the players he covers on hit shows like ‘First Take’, Stephen A Smith says he will be scaling back some of his other appearances on shows across the network to allow for more focus on other projects, including politics.
Smith noted on X Monday that he isn’t ruling out a run for the presidency in the 2028 election.
“Over the last few weeks, I’ve had no choice but to get more serious about it,” Smith said. “I’ve been approached by people on Capitol Hill, governors, mayors and other elected officials who have legitimately and seriously asked me about running.”
