Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love underwent surgery to fix a torn ligament in his left thumb, the team’s general manager Brian Gutekunst told reporters on Tuesday.
Gutenkunst added that he expects Love to be ready for the start of the regular season, going as far as saying Love could return to practice next week.
Love suffered the injury to his non-throwing hang after hitting a helmet during Sunday’s 30-10 preseason loss to the New York Jets. He was seen wearing tape around the thumb at Monday’s practice.
